The first design decisions
Light and dark have equal status
White suits detailed frameworks. Charcoal suits focus and contrast. Use colour for a deliberate pause or emphasis; do not alternate backgrounds mechanically.
A small flat logo
Use the supplied logo without tagline. Keep it quiet on teaching screens. The chrome top remains the module and lesson landmark.
Diagrams do the explaining
Relationships, axes and arrows must mean something. Do not force a lesson into circles or cards because a template happens to contain them.
Less on screen
Start with one thought per scene. Aim for short labels, up to four process stages or four matrix cells. Split content when it exceeds the layout; never solve overflow with tiny text.
Photography has a purpose
Use full scenes, people, objects and annotated details when they explain the point. The photo example uses an approved existing background; it is not a requirement to put a top on every teaching slide.
Animation is optional
Each layout must work as a static scene first. Later animation can build the same explanation without delaying the first pass.
